My best friend embezzled, left clues that it was me
Factory closed, town got tense, cop came to take me in
He said “confess or I’ll go at your girl”
Well the anger in my fists messed up his face
I knocked him out and knew I had to get away
I needed wheels, stole his car, needed cash, robbed a bar
At every step it escalates, police on my tail, forever chased
