Covered in new dreams and bluebonnet skies We lay in flowers blooming, watching dragonflies I can feel the goodness of this hill country land You're my good woman and I'm your good man Picturing your face up there in the clouds See your silhouette fly, floating, looking down In the shade of your love, I reach out for your hand I'm your good woman and you're my good man Let my thoughts ride on the breeze, where they go is heavenly I think true when I'm with you, you're good for me Covered in new dreams and bluebonnet skies We lay in flowers blooming, watching dragonflies In the shade of your love, I reach out for your hand I'm your good woman and I'm your good man I'm your good woman and I'm your good man

Alone 03:02
Crossing off another broken day Thinking of the words I did not say Walking with the ghost of you right next to me Almost suffocating in the hurt I breathe We stole a pretty moment from a cold reality But now the time has passed us by And all I'm left to see All I'm left to be Is alone Tossing in another restless bed Fighting with my demons of regret Sleepless in the throes of your last memory Praying hard to end the nightmare finally I went to hunt for treasure and I found you that one time I thought the shine would last, but no Now all I ever find The way I live my life Is alone Crossing off another broken day Wish I'd heard the words you did not say Helpless in the throes of your last memory Praying hard to end the nightmare finally You went to hunt for treasure and you found me that one time We thought the shine would last, but no Now all we'll ever find The way we live our lives Is alone

Cool Love 02:43
I make a wish and watch the water run Eagles fly, up there looks like fun In this river canyon, baking in the sun You swim right up to me, a mermaid vision You bring me cool love Like you knew what my wish was Just because I asked for some You bring me cool love You bring me cool love I take a risk and ride the waterfall Off the edge to where adventure calls When the rocky rapids batter me undone You reach out from the bank, a cowboy vision You bring me cool love To soothe where my hurt was Just because I'm needing some You bring me cool love You bring me cool love You touch and heal my cuts and bruises You give me chills, shivers right through me Right out of the blue, I'm here next to you You're a dream, it's true I'll never get enough of your cool love You bring me cool love Like you knew what my wish was Just because I asked for some You bring me cool love You bring me cool love You bring me cool love You bring me cool love

You got razor sharp barbed wire surrounding you Booby traps and mean old dogs I gotta get through Your treasure's under lockdown, guarded heavily Getting to it could be lethal but I guess we'll see Your kiss is worth the risk I'd jump through a ring of fire to taste your lips That intoxicating rush, I'm not giving up Your kiss is worth the risk You got hi-tech lookout towers protecting you Danger signs and tripwire mines I can't defuse Your defense is a fortress, impervious and tight And though it seems impossible, it's my mission tonight Your kiss is worth the risk I'd jump through a ring of fire to taste your lips That intoxicating rush, I'm not giving up Your kiss is worth the risk I've been training, getting stronger Working on my moves I've been planning for this night For someone just like you Your kiss is worth the risk I'd jump through a ring of fire to taste your lips That intoxicating rush, I'm not giving up Your kiss is worth the risk

about

Our publisher turned us on to Lee Hazlewood. We took a little nostalgia trip while listening to his 1970s duets with Nancy Sinatra and got inspired. We laughed about Storme getting boots made for walkin' to walk all over us. We wondered how Marc would look with Lee's old haircut and mustache. (We may have to photoshop that in. Or grow it!) We noticed Lee lived his teenage and college years in Texas. That got us thinking of Texas days, Texas scenes, Texas things. So bluebonnet fields, river canyons, cowboys and hill country all became part of the song stories and settings. A bit of psychedelia and hippieness made it into some of the song vibes. In addition, we had Elvis, Sonny & Cher, yacht rock and She & Him playing in our good old blast from the past headspace. We had fun with it all and wrote some songs. We hope you dig it!
